Green Valley

Started in the late 1970s on the southeast side of the Valley in Henderson, Green Valley is one of the premiere master-planned communities in the Las Vegas Valley. With over 8,400 acres of homes and condos ranging from low $200s to over $4,000,000, this lush beautiful area offers something for everyone! As part of the city of Henderson, Green Valley is full of neighborhood parks and walking trails, and has an outstanding array of shops, gourmet restaurants and retail services.

The schools in Green Valley test among the highest for the Clark County school district, and Green Valley High School claimed the distinction of being one of the top ten high schools the whole United States in 1997 overall for both academics and athletics! This area is noted for being extremely family-oriented and giving residents a high quality of lifestyle. There are numerous Boys and Girls Club activities, and great resources like outdoor amphitheatres, public swim clubs, theaters, hospitals and baseball fields. Green Valley's sister community,Green Valley Ranch, in the foothills of the southern mountains is a newer version with even more parks, restaurants, shops and the fabulous District at Green Valley Ranch, and both communities share many amenities.

Inspirada

Inspirada is a 2000 acre master planned community to being developed by Focus Group in the southern foothills of Henderson. Inspirada will be a community offering dense, pedestrian-friendly neighborhoods interconnected with narrow streets, village squares, parks and open space. The venture will be one of the nation's largest "new urbanism" communities, spread across nearly 2,000 acres and featuring 11,500 residences.

The development will feature seven villages of 200 to 250 acres. Each will contain at least four mini-neighborhoods known as pods, of 20 to 60 acres. Each pod will be built around parks and village squares.

At the core of the master plan is a 300-acre Town Center with more than one million square feet of commercial retail and office space, expected to include a resort casino, retail, possibly high-rise office buildings and as many as 3,000 dwellings, including mid-rise, condos, apartments and town homes. The development will have no gated communities and few walls. Instead, it will aspire to an open feel with trails and bike paths meandering throughout. Construction and sales have now begun and grand openings will be taking place for new communities within Inspirada throughout 2008/2009.

Lake Las Vegas

A miracle of vision in the middle of a 2245 acre private canyon, Lake Las Vegas is the acknowledged crown jewel of the master planned communities! A breathtaking 320 acre man-made lake is the centerpiece for this unique development surrounded by terraced hillside Mediterranean-style homes, resort villas and custom home lots. MacDonald Ranch

Back in the early 70s, Rich MacDonald had a dream - to build an amazing master planned community carved out of the scenic mountainsides of Las Vegas. The family accumulated 1200 acres of prime land, got it rezoned and permitted, and in the late 1990s the superb McDonald Ranch was born.

Located in the southern foothills of the Las Vegas Valley, MacDonald Ranch offers sweeping vistas of the Valley floor below. There are several communities within MacDonald Ranch:

Seven Hills

Absolutely some of the most incredible views in the city are to be found in Seven Hills, a 1300 acre hillside community perched atop the McCullough mountain range south of the Las Vegas Valley in Henderson. Built around the Rees-Jones designed Rio Secco 18 hole championship golf course and the Butch Harmon School of Golf, Seven Hills, named after the famed Tuscany region in Italy, features approximately 2500 homes and condos ranging from the mid $200s to just over $1 million, as well as small enclaves of guard gated custom neighborhoods with sumptuous mansions going past the $5,000,000 mark.
